Why we exist
People are not just consumers of content. They are the signal.
YouTheWave is a humanitarian and human-development organization. We don't build one product — we build a wave of them: focused tools, each solving one real problem well, each built with the people who live that problem every day.
The mission doesn't change between initiatives. The scope does — deliberately. A crisis platform and a classroom don't get folded into one undifferentiated thing. They get built right, separately, and connected by why they exist.

Initiatives
Vigil
An open-source humanitarian crisis platform — missing persons search, real-time crisis mapping, AI coordination, in 8 languages. Built in 48 hours for the Venezuela earthquakes. Standing watch ever since.

Education, resource access, and community wellbeing are next on the wave. Each will get its own name, its own scope, and its own story — announced here when it's real, not before.

Introducing YouTheWave
Why Vigil is the first initiative, not the only one — and why we're building the next ones the same way.
Why we're building in public
YouTheWave starts with Vigil. Here's what comes next, and why we're building each initiative separately instead of all at once.
Vigil: built in 48 hours, still standing watch
How a crisis platform for the Venezuela earthquakes went from concept to deployed in two days — and what it's still doing today.
